The Historic Downtown |
Our Historic Downtown [El Corazon de Trinidad, A Celebration of the Heart]
The historic downtown is a prime area for tourism and outdoor activities. With a Victorian atmosphere, the downtown has numerous buildings and storefronts that can be developed into a lush business community. We are a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB) county, which offers your business an opportunity to expand your contracts beyond day to day activities, and allows you to contract with governmental agencies. No matter where you are in the county, this zoning allocates your business as a prime investment opportunity.
Trinidad Industrial Park
The Trinidad Industrial Park project (approximately 105 developable acres) was approved and annexed by the City of Trinidad. This expansion includes water, sewer, natural gas, telecommunications, streets, curb and gutter. Construction to extend infrastructure to the second phase of the Park was completed in 2004, and there are four lots still available. Phase Two lot sizes vary depending upon location, but are not limited to the combination of several lots to meet your particular business requirements.
In addition, Trinidad-Las Animas County Economic Development, the City of Trinidad and Las Animas County have jointly submitted an Economic Development Administration (EDA) Grant to complete Phase Two of the park. This expansion will provide the estimated 26 lots, or approximately 49+ acres of "Shovel-ready" land, which was outlined in the approved Phase Two.
Price Per Acre
All lots in the Industrial Park sell for $14,400 per acre. Economic Development considers this price a great incentive for any company considering our Industrial Park which has a panoramic view of the mountains and plains.
NOTE: The 26 lots of Phase Two that will be developed through the EDA Grant do not have the required infrastructure in place at this time. Therefore, contracts for lots other than what is listed above will not be accepted until further notice.
With the workforce in place, your incentives program and tax-credits, and a location, you are on your way to doing business in our thriving community.
Let’s move to Step 4 and find out what else you need to relocate.
